What you type into a calculator

The calculators run on this server. The values you enter travel in the page address, which is what makes a result shareable and bookmarkable — so they appear in this site's ordinary web-server request log, alongside the address, the time and your IP address. Those logs are kept by the hosting provider in the normal way and are used for fixing faults and spotting abuse.

Those values are not stored in a database, not linked to you, and not sent to any analytics or advertising service. The measurement this site does record about a calculation is that one happened and which tool ran it — never the numbers. If you would rather not have a figure in a URL at all, clear the form before you leave the page.
